About Us

Our goal is to provide you, our client, with the emotional and practical support you need when faced with an unplanned pregnancy or post-abortion trauma. You will meet with a specially-trained volunteer support worker who has a deep commitment to you and your specific needs.

At the Highlands Community Pregnancy Care Centre, we care very deeply about the women and girls we serve. There are difficult issues surrounding an unplanned pregnancy. Our desire is to help our clients take the time necessary to explore all the options and make an informed decision.

This Centre does not offer abortion services or abortion referrals.

Where do we stand on abortion? Our staff and volunteers believe in the sanctity and value of all human life. We will not refer for abortion; however, we never tell our clients what they should do. We provide accurate information without judgment on all the options: parenting, adoption and abortion, so that they can make an informed decision. No matter what decision our clients make, they are always welcome at the Centre. We also offer post-abortion support.

We provide free and confidential pregnancy tests. Although these tests are very accurate, we are not a medical facility and therefore the results of your test must be confirmed by a physician.

We are not an adoption agency; however, if you wish to make a plan for adoption, we can provide you with referrals to adoption agencies.

Confidentiality is of utmost importance; therefore, all information is kept strictly confidential, except where required by law to report, in such cases as abuse, suicide, or homicide.
